Nirgundi is the leaf of Vitex negundo, the five-leaved chaste tree, a large shrub found across India and often grown as a hedge.
Its traditional use is joint and muscle pain, and it is used both internally and — more commonly — applied, as a poultice or infused into an oil. That is a genuinely old application rather than a modern repositioning.
What it is doing in these products
It is in the joint formulations, including the pain oil that is massaged in rather than swallowed.
