Giloy, or guduchi, is the stem of Tinospora cordifolia, a climbing shrub that grows up through other trees across India. The stem is cut, dried and powdered, or juiced fresh.

Ayurveda calls it amrita — nectar — and uses it for fever, for recovery and for what would loosely be translated as resistance to illness. It became widely familiar in India during the pandemic years, when it was taken very broadly and, in some cases, in quantities nobody had tested. It is best treated as the traditional preparation it is.

What it is doing in these products

Giloysash is built on it, and it appears in the immunity and detox formulations. It is the added herb the immunity claim leans on, alongside the berry's own vitamin C and carotenoids.
